With the economic climate in 2012 proving to be very challenging the team of consultants at LPC (Trull) Ltd still managed to provide their diverse client base with a successful outcome on a wide range of projects. A sample of the years' highlights include:

Amenity Group Support

Successfully assisting a local community group objecting to sensitive proposals to refurbish a doctor’s surgery site at Madam’s Paddock, Chew Magna for 8 dwellings.  In view of the strength of objections raised the application was eventually withdrawn.

Appeal Victories

Representing South Gloucestershire Council to successfully defend an appeal against 80 dwellings at Stoke Gifford (Public Inquiry)

Lippards Store, Easton Compton – 3 dwellings and a shop

12 dwellings at Hyde Road, Swindon

Removal of joinery workshop to provide a new dwelling in Holt

Gypsy Cases

Planning permission obtained for 4 new Gypsy pitches at Frampton Farm, Sutton Benger

Support to a community group in Compton Dundon, Somerset to enable an Officer overturn at a Planning Committee, whereby permission was refused for a gypsy plot.

Attendance at a Hearing representing local residents objecting to a proposal for 12 permanent and 2 transit pitches

Attendance at a Hearing representing a community group objecting to a proposal for a gypsy pitch in a sensitive location at Bonvilston, Cardiff

Heritage Schemes

Permission granted for the installation of 33 solar pv panels, 2 solar thermal panels and 6 boreholes for a ground source heat pump on a Grade II* listed Church in Larkhall, Bath

Preparation of a Planning Statement to accompany a historically sensitive scheme to completely refurbish The Corridor Shopping Arcade in the centre of Bath

Local Plan Promotion

Land at East Swindon.  Representation led to 17.45ha of land being included for residential purposes in the Pre – Inquiry Draft Core Strategy for Swindon
